The family of composer Randall Thompson finally decided to do some housekeeping and tend to the matter of memorial stones.  It isn't uncommon to let this important detail slide off the to-do list.  In Mr. Thompson's case, the family wanted simplicity and to honor perhaps his most famous composition "Alleluia."  It seemed logical to design the word in a lyrical, melodious kind of calligraphy.  BACK  NEXT
