This small piece of Danby marble stands at the head of a row of very small marble stones that mark the lives of 18 very young women who died while working and living in an institution in the early 1900s.  It gave Katherine comfort to somehow figure as their mother.  The Mary Poppins umbrella is blowing away.  BACK   NEXT
